Senior Computer Support
The Work Center was recently the recipient of three refurbished personal computers courtesy of Computers for Seniors, a non-profit, Cape Cod-based, all-volunteer organization, established in 1996 with a mission to offer computer education for Cape Cod residents over the age of 50. The Fellows as well as summer students will use the new computers. CFS currently offers a selection of 16 courses, workshops, and tutorials in a fully equipped computer lab in downtown Hyannis. CFS also works in collaboration with other Cape Cod entities with
similar or corollary interests and is a member of the Cape Cod Technology Council. CFS maintains a website for the Cape and Islands Councils on Aging and is currently developing new ways to reach seniors who are physically unable to enjoy access to computers and the Internet.
