FAWC is pleased to be included in the current Catalogue for Philanthropy, the creative idea of the Ellis L. Phillips Foundation of Boston. The publication is designed to promote philanthropy by changing the culture of philanthropy what people know and think about it and how accessible it is to the public.
George McCully, Trustee of the Phillips Foundation, acknowledges that all of the participants in this year's Catalogue were included for their "excellent accomplishments" which provide "evident representation of the best that Massachusetts philanthropy offers to prospective donors and volunteers. Our subject is philanthropy, not the charities; they are our evidence. We hope to attract support to the smaller charities of this world that most folks never hear about -- the 92% that canąt afford to get their messages out, that are deserving of significantly greater support and only rarely get it."
The Foundation prints more than 100,000 copies of the Catalogue, which are distributed to organizations, individuals and potential donors. To obtain a copy of the Catalogue or to learn more about the project, visit www.catalogforphilanthropy.org.
