  MAJOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT NEARS COMPLETION

Reconstruction of the historic Days Lumberyard Building, which houses the Work Center’s program and administrative offices, is nearing completion – on time, and under budget. The six historic studios on the second floor have also undergone extensive renovation. The building will reopen in April 2010. In addition to entirely new office space, built over a new foundation, there is a new meeting room and library, and a building-wide fire-protective sprinkler system. This is a true milestone for the Work Center, one that we will mark with the town of Provincetown, with the many donors who contributed to funding the $1.4 million capital cost of the project, and with our many friends who will join us in celebrating this achievement.

We will host a pubic ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on May 6, 2010, and a re-opening celebration party the evening of July 10, 2010. Stay tuned to www.fawc.org for details. Please save the dates and come!
