THE PROVINCETOWN STUDIO SHOW
The Provincetown Studio Show, an
exhibition organized by artist Michael Mazur of Cambridge and Provincetown,
will be the highlight of FAWC’s summer ’08 gallery season. The exhibition will
focus on the historic legacy that exists in the bricks and mortar used as studio
space in Provincetown. It will include archival photographs of the studios
and the artists, as well as related paintings and writings. The exhibition
will be shown at FAWC’s Hudson D. Walker Gallery, the Provincetown Art
Association and Museum, and the Pilgrim Monument and Museum.
Michael Mazur is a member of FAWC’s Visual Arts Committee and was a
long-time member of FAWC’s Board of Trustees, serving as its Co-Chair for
many years. He founded the New Provincetown Print Project at FAWC in
1990. Michael and his wife, the poet Gail Mazur, will be featured in the 2008
issue of Provincetown Arts. Gail is currently a FAWC trustee and a member of
Committee.
